So the greatest danger they pose appears to be what they represent. In spite of clearly being a very advanced and very angry race, the Endless were defeated and subdued by the forerunners with relative ease. If the flood finds out how the Endless survived the firing of the rings, that effectively means that an eventual flood consumption of the entire galaxy is inevitable as there is no other weapon that can truly stop them. My hope is that the true threat posed by the Endless comes from the fact that they have some means of surviving the firing of the Halo array, which makes them simultaneously an enormous insult to the forerunners, and the ultimate prize for the flood to seek out. They could work like flood before them, but even more abstract and omnipresent-way, something that can't reasonably be described. This is one of the few possiblities i could see the endless being a cool new faction for this sci-fi franchise. He doesnt see how the endless could even be a threat, he is willfully ignorant due to his own insanity. The didact wants to still destroy both humans and banished but plays both sides in hopes to further his own goals. Atriox wants to wake them in hopes that they undo the nuking of doisac- and then kill them and claim their might for his own. It controls all xanalyn and they manipulate events for it to help it reawaken. Its as if an invisible entity alters the course of both space and time slightly to help- or threaten the banished.
OB knows how the endless operate and it turns out that they can corrupt space-time the same way the flood could, and that they are in a dormant, more dreaming phase. Offensive bias would play a background part first but the weapon would in some way be given away- either to help the infinity or for a bargain and then offensive bias would play the part of AI in chief's head. I want to see the didact make a return and become a neutral party to humanity and his goals shrouded in mystery. What i want to happen (in some form or another) is this: If they directly continue with halo infinite's campaign it would focus more on discovering what happened to the infinity and what happened to blue team aswell as killing a bunch of banished. I think they want to keep the endless as lovecraftian as possible for the time being. All out war, partnerships and betrays for everyone! TLDR Humanity Vs The banished Vs Prometheans Vs The Flood Vs The Endless. I don’t want to see it but nostalgias a hell of a drug!
Not saying I want to see this but if Humanity got it’s hands on whatever The endless have that brings things foreward what’s stopping them from bringing back past weapons from prior games. What is he possibly creating ? More Prometheans Perhaps, he would have to try and gain access to the Composer Forge, something we haven’t seen since chief defeated the Didact. Now Adjudent talks about “creating”, the final time we meet him. Enslavement is everything that Atriox stands against! I’m thinking if they do have Time Manipulation they pull Doisac foreward in time but only to enslave The Brutes. Which means the Endless/ Banished Partnership will end. Doisac!īut the Encyclopaedia alludes to Humanity and The Banished needing to prepare to face the Endless. I personally think the Endless Threat has something to do with Manipulation of Living Time, not necessarily time travel, but more so pulling things foreward through time.Ītriox has to want something in teaming up with the endless.
